The Brenig Trail circumnavigates Llyn Brenig through forest and along the shoreline of the lake. Most of the route runs on off-road tracks with one short section along a B-road and one climb. The route is suitable for both family cycling and for walking at miles (15 km) long.   Ospreys regularly visited the reservoir last summer but this spring is the first time a pair has nested there, making Brenig only the fifth breeding site for the fish-eating birds in Wales. Llyn Brenig, a reservoir built , is one of Wales largest at miles in circumference and acres in area. It was built to help control the water supply to the River Dee. Llyn Brenig Phased Re-Opening. We are excited to announce that Llyn Brenig has taken further steps towards normal operation. We are now running a takeaway service from the cafe.

LLYN BRENIG FISHING REPORT–Week Ending June 2nd A rather mixed bag of weather was experienced at Llyn Brenig last week with a little bit of everything thrown in. However the weather that we have had has made some ideal conditions for fishing with over cast skies, a little bit of wind which has resulted in a nice ripple on the lake and.

Start: Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre, Cerrigydrudion. LL21 9TT (from the south/west, leave the A5 at Cerrigydrudion and follow the B and turn right at Visitor Centre signpost. From the north, take the A after Denbigh, then bear right onto the B, then left for Visitor Centre) SH Llyn Brenig is stocked regular from fish reared on site.

It is an outstanding fly fishery, hosting international events. Come and have a try. The season at Llyn Brenig runs from 17th March to 31 October but we also run a special event for pike anglers in November. Boats are available for hire, including a wheely boat. Our prices are.
